I don't know what the biggest "wrong" turnaround has been in the NBA, but I think the cavs could go from the best record in the NBA this season to one of the if not the worst record in the NBA next year.

they should just fold, seriously

they have no chance at winning a title ever again

The Cleveland Cavs are stupid. They should've spent a little more on real players instead of mediocre ones to surround LeBron with. They have no one to blame, but themselves.

Yep my bad....it's just so hateful and spiteful....at first glance it looked contrived.

I thought the execution of Lebron's announcement was in very bad taste, but why respond with something even more classless? It's petty and it makes Lebron look smart for leaving. Gilbert is apparently functioning at a Junior High emotional level.

The organization is pathetic...they had all of those years to add the likes of Kidd or Stoudamire and they refused to help Lebron out. I don't blame Lebron at all for this and if the fans at Cleveland should be angry at someone or something...it's at the Cavs management for never proving that they were serious about winning. The response by Gilbert to Lebron's departure is proof that they will NEVER win under him...good luck getting anybody to play for you when you treat them like that. They should just be happy that Lebron made them relevant. I hope Lebron does well with the Heat and I will watch them play for sure.

Oh, and to be fair Lebron should have just announced it instead of going on air like that. I thought he was for sure signing with the Cav's after he announced that he was going live for an hour about it. Durant is the model for how a player should do things. Still the bad response to Lebron leaving is pathetic.

I believe that Cavs are very serious about winning, it's just that for the most part, the big moves they did make were flops. A year after being an All Star caliber player, Larry Hughes fell back to Earth and became Larry Hughes again after getting a fat contract. They gave Z a huge extension for about 10 mil a year or so, I don't think I need to explain why that was a mistake. Then they made a big mid season trade for a declining Ben Wallace. The Shaq trade was a complete disaster which didn't surprise me at all. The Jamison trade didn't work out which did surprise me. So they did try to make moves, they just didn't work. I can't fault their effort, but they were unable to find a legit #2 guy to run beside Lebron. Unfortunately for the Cavs, they couldn't pull a Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol.

With that said, Dan Gilbert revealed himself as a jerk. There is nothing wrong with the decision Lebron made. Everyone says they don't like the NBA cuz the players only care about money and not enough about winning. Well he's taking less money and went to a team with a better chance to win. The way he made this into a big circus is another debate.

The Cavs do have one thing they can fall back on. They're not the Timberwolves. Not there's a trainwreck of a franchise.

The Shaq trade wasn't a complete disaster. They got rid of Ben Wallace's salary to pick him up, he just was used too much by Mike Brown. They got Shaq for one reason and that was to defend Dwight Howard in the playoffs. Howard killed them in 2008 so Ferry went out and got one of the very few guys who can guard Howard one on one, it was Brown's fault for using too much and in the wrong situations.

The Cavs never had much cap room as a result of a lot of bad moves made early in LeBron's career, the last few years however Ferry has done pretty much everything he could to help LeBron. Yeah he never had a great number two, but the Cavs were probably the deepest and most versatile team in the league last season. They went 10-11 deep with solid guys off the bench. Not sure how effective picking up Kidd would have been as at the time he was rumored to come there he wasn't shooting as well as he has the last two years, the last thing LeBron needed was a point guard who defenders could sag off of. I think the Cavs gave LeBron at least a legitimate shot at the title, they came up short and I have no problem with him leaving, but wish he didn't need to do it in such an over the top way.
