I was unaware that he was second in line to get the Indiana job if Crean turned it down. The guy has an impressive record and would be more well known if Butler wasn't in his conference.
 
Clemson is right down on Tobbaco Road, and the talent is close...so Brownell might do fine.
At Iowa, we needed someone who can recruit better than lick, so Brownell might not have been a good fit.

Your theory would be great if Brownell were going to Wake Forest instead of Clemson.

Did they move the University of Clemson to North Carolina? I believe it is a southern school but not on Tobacco road.
