You love his game? What aspect of his game do you love? The turnovers or awful decisions he makes once the ball hits the floor? I have yet to see a team do well with a PG who cannot penetrate or handle the ball against pressure. He has shown a knack for taking and hitting big shots, but his PG game has been sketchy IMO.

Clemmons is a liability on the floor right now. About the only thing more reliable than JO missing a three point shot is Clemmons turning it over. I feel for the kid, but he isn't playing well.

He's definitely not playing well lately. I still like his game, even if he's not played well the past month. He's got an awful lot of potential, and I'm far from ready to cast him aside, although our resident recruiting troll would disagree.

he really has regressed - I hope he can find it again.
The only thing I can say about him atm that looks okay is his jumper. He looks more free and easy on his shot

People are silly. Wonder why Iowa all freshman team guys don't make all-conference teams in year two? Well, because teams have video.
Over time it becomes really obvious where young players struggle and teams exploit these areas. The same is true regarding all tendencies of young players.
Beyond this, have you ever heard of the freshman wall?

Absolutely. I ran into it through all five years of collidge...
for some reason he has it in his mind that he has to make something happen rather than just control the offense. He is shooting much more and trying to drive and make the spectacular play...also, on defense, he is taking many more chances. Hate his game right now. Cartwright redux.

I love the kid. He will be a good player at Iowa. He's pressing right now, trying to do well. He's more than capable, had some great plays against Michigan state against one of the top guards in the country and had his struggles as well. He's a freshman. Him getting thrown to the wolves this year will pay huge dividends for him next year and down the road.

He's got a decent outside stroke, big ups, and can drive. He has a lot of upside. He'll be a force once his game comes around.
IMO, he's lost confidence or is getting nervous (about his turnover issues). Fran needs to calm him down and tell him to let his game develop.

He'll be fine but he is really struggling right now. The grind of a D-1 schedule is probably getting to him.

Clemmons has the ability. He has gone through a terrible slump. If he can just get the ball across half court and give it up to Marble, we could be alright......
