Clemmons was Terrific





I thought the UVa game was better. He seemed to be trying too hard tonight. But he didn't play poorly, just didn't play as well. But I'll take the win!!

His best trait is that he's fearless...he seems to put mistakes behind him like an NFL defensive back and he's not afraid to take the shot.
 


Normally not this guy, but I am white knuckled and on edge whenever he has the ball in his hands. Lots of potential, and is a good defender, but he makes about as good of decisions as I do after 10 beers. He scares the bejesus out of me. Gessell must play more Thursday.
 


Best game? No.

Decent game? Yes. Which is far better than some of the games he had at the end of the regular season and in the BTT. He definitely hit "the wall" or something in the second half of conference play because he was not the same guy we saw early on. He is fearless though and if he does make a mistake he doesn't do something immediately after and make it worse. I'll admit that I was questioning why he was in there instead of Gessel at the end.
 


I'm pretty sure Gesell is playing as much as he can...pain tolerance. I didn't see him do anything tonight to tweak it so I'm hoping he's good to go Thursday. Fran may have been holding his minutes down to ensure he's available...missed the post game so I don't know if it was addressed.
 


Decent game. But he dropped 14 points and 8 assists (with just one turnover) while locking down Lucious when ISU came to Carver. That was easily his best game of the year.
