The "salt" has always been there when Sapp is playing in the PTL. More than any guy in Fran's tenure, there's been a huge gulf between AC's play in the PTL and regular season. I'd love to see that gulf narrow, but I'll believe it when I see it.
That would be pretty good indeed.... I think Salt has what it takes for skills, he just needs to maintain the confidence. He needs to understand that mistakes, missed shots & turnovers happen in this game and ignore it each & every time down the court, and he will be fine. He needs the mentality a of Rudock or a Stanzi and realize if you throw a pick-6, you can still win the game.... That is AC's problem. He misses a shot, succombs to pressure or has a bad pass, and it is all downhill from there. He has the abilities, he just needs to develop his mental game. Let's hope that can happen, because this guy has skills.
Trey looks like the goods. That will give us three very good point guards with different styles and could drive the opponents crazy. Gesell is certainly has conquered the Sophomore Blues and same for Sapp who looks very confident in the PTL, I know, it is just the PTL, but he looks like a new man. Trey could be another Cartwright. He has skills and is an excellent passer, quick and intuitive on the Alley Oop as Aaron has testified.....
I like the way things are looking and can't wait for Peter to be reinstated.....
I have a feeling that last season taught the Lads a few lessons and that experience will be apparent.....
