Clayborn & Spievey

Can we be as good next year if Clayborn and Spievey happen to enter the draft?

How likely is it that the NCAA with give Richardson a 6th season?

I dont think RIchardson wants a 6th season. I mean he has just been injured every year and I think it may be taking a toll on him. I read a good Spievey article this week and from the way it looks I think this kid might bolt for the NFL after this year because I think his mom is unemployed and I imagine he sees the dollar signs. Clayborn is up in the air in my mind. I think both Spievey and Clayborn would benefit greatly from an extra year in college but we will see how it plays out for them......
With regards to next year, yeah I think we will be pretty damn good next year too. We have Bernstein (sp?) coming back after injury and Micah Hyde has looked pretty damn good out there for a true freshman. As far as the line goes, we have a couple backups that might start for a lot of other teams in the FBS. We will be alright if these 2 guys leave in my opinion......

I don't think our D will be even close to as good as this year if we lose both of them, plus the fact we've got a couple LBs graduating. But I do believe our O will be more than twice as good... I think we'll be good enough to stay on top of the Big Ten if we play our cards right...

Brewhawk...I overlooked Bernstine... Forgot he was lost for the season. I believe i have seen the same article about Spievey which was my original motivation for this thread... Clayborn I feel is the key to next season.. If he does go, does Ballard move back outside and do we start one of the incoming freshmen at DT? I cant recall seeing any of the back-ups on the field this season.

I wish Dace the best of luck if he passes on the 6th season.
