I read this simply due to you saying how stupid the writer was. I actually found this to be a very good piece. He gave us tons of props, said we earned our 11-0, we are very good (opposite of what everyone outside of the B1G says) and said that CJB should be 1st team all B1G. I guess I just don't see how you find this insulting. He said they are the "gatekeepers". I'm pretty sure after the Wisconsin win, most of us were saying the same thing. We just didn't know they would be guarding the gate to the playoffs over the rose bowl.
 
Well, they may be "football royalty" but it is getting to be very old news. Over the past 14 years (a large sample size) Nebraska is 116 wins and 66 losses while Iowa is 116-61. Very comparable programs, regardless of what the Nebraska fans have to say about it.
 
Nebbie searching for ways to be relevant. Debbie is an aging cougar who lost her fastball years ago, now hooked on Botox, plastic surgery and liposuction.
 
I thought it was very complimentary and respectful to Iowa. Just look at this quote:

Nebby is better than their record, but nowhere close to what that delusional fan base thinks they should be.

They'll likely be better next year with a better record, but still nowhere near what they'll find acceptable. Give it time nebby, eventually it'll sink in that 8-9 wins is a good year....eventually.

Please keep them home for the Holidays Hawks!
 
So Nebraska beating Iowa last year meant the ship was sinking.
And beating Iowa this year means the ship has been righted.

I guess we are the program they want to compare to after all.

isn't there speculation they can make a bowl at 5-7?
Love for Iowa to put a losing record on them but for them to still go to a bowl. There's some dignity for them.
