No real reason to think otherwise at this point. Had a nice 4th quarter. Was pressing a little bit early. Made one big mistake but he was trying to make a play down a lot of points.

Iowa could be better next year - addition by subtraction with Weisman. Scherff loss hurts somewhat, but I think Boettger is next in line. Defense should be somewhat better, but player development is key.

That said, I think both coordinators need to go at minimum.
 
I don't see how this team is going to be better next year with what we're losing. I just don't see it but will always be hopeful.
 
I thought he might stay, until Ferentz sent Sheriff Ron and the police to round up CJ Beathard.
Give me Hayden forgetting who's on the sideline over this sort of behavior.

Lose both offensive tackles, and it hurts more than "somewhat". Lose both defensive tackles. Lose Hamilton. No QB depth if CJ goes. How much can the LB's and secondary improve? One good, under-utilized WR returns. Daniels has shown little, Canzeri is injury-prone. Wadley might turn out good, but will be behind a weaker line.
 
Kirk has lied to him from his first day on campus and mocks his accomplishments. He is gone 100%.
 
He played a great forth quarter! I appreciate is effort and determination to no end. His TD pass to Ray Hamilton was was of the best passes I have seen in a long time. That was a tiny window. Also props to Ray Hamilton for securing that catch under pressure. His pass TD pass to Matt Vandeberg was also spectacular. That entire drive was one of the best 2 minute drills I have ever seen. It was actually 1:22! His running was also superb, on one of those long runs I thought he was going to get caught but he outran the guy! So much for "sec speed". I just wish Iowa had converted the onside kicks. I don't think any of them were done too well. The 3 onside kicks could have helped Iowa get the other 21 points that they needed.On a side note, what was with all the attention to the stupid Gatorade toss on the Tennessee coach? That happens every bowl game it is no big deal, but they must have spent 5 minutes covering it, how lame! Iowa was in the middle of an awesome drive that I was yelling "get back to the game"!
 
I was annoyed with that too. They were split screening the game at one point so they could show it

I think CJB might be smart enough to know that it SHOULD save him, but he may not have enough faith in KF knowing it to want to stick around.
