Light em up CJ ..DMX can catch!
Awad can juke em.
LD can run em over.
Find Kittle again.

Throw the ball away and -avoid the sacks please.
No use getting flattened and losing seven yards.

You can do it Hawks..

Try to conserve CJB as much as we can. Thankfully I think we can just ground and pound into submission. Pass D and D Line will be huge in this game.

Thinking the same, here. I think it's affecting his longer throws, too.

Agreed, and teams are going to play just like Maryland did from here on out. Stack it up with 8 or 9 guys around the LOS, and make our WR beat 1 on 1 coverage, and then make CJ make the throw to them.

Loading the box with 8 or 9 guys is fine but if the running back breaks through to the 2nd level, there isn't anybody there to stop him. It also leaves the D succeptable to the long pass.. It is not a guaranteed strategy without risk. Maryland did lose by 16 employing the stack the box strategy. And but for a kick-ff return for a touchdown, that game was a beat down.

The hawks were in control of that game and that kick return made it look closer. It was close but that 3rd td in first half put a big cushion.

Indiana will move the ball more and probably score more so the hawks need to keep scoring.

I dont think the OP necessarily meant CJ running qb draws but rather running backs.

CJ can't run. We are screwed at some point here.

The Hawks will be in trouble if they keep trying to throw those deep out routes.

As the title of the thread reads, except for bubble screens, run screen passes, draw plays and I'll add one here. Quick slants out if the slot. For good measure use the tight ends in the middle 10 yards down field.

We will be at the Indiana game. If the Hoosiers stack the box to stop the run Iowa must use quick passes. If those open up the run, run it down their throats.

What ever you do DON'T drop CJB back in the pocket for those 25 yard pass plays as it will cost Iowa dearly.

I do believe Iowa will run some plays we did not see against Maryland. Iowa traditionally has not played well at Indiana and they'll need all the offensive power they have on Saturday.

Beathard isn't going to be lighting up anybody the rest of the season.

Ferentz said after yesterday’s assignment was completed against Maryland (really, kind of what that was, right?) that you’re probably not seeing naked rollouts and play-action moves from Beathard the rest of the season. You watched the ABC broadcast. Clearly, this was spilled in the production meeting. Ferentz said on the pregame radio that Beathard probably won’t be right until January.

I never felt worried during the twerps game. We didn't even play that well and we had a two touchdown win and this was a team that has taken several teams the distance in the east. Good signs
