CJ reminds me of a young Elway

Now I'm NOT saying he is anywhere as good or will be but his style reminds me of young Elway.

1. Strong arm.
2. Can run and is tough.
3. Hot and cold... sometimes inaccurate.
4. Finds a way to win at the end.
5. Had a mullet at one point.

Definitely some similarities. Elway had a stronger arm though, as crazy as that seems.

He did caveat that CJ is no where near as good as Elway.

Can't really dispute the 5 similarities though...thus far.
No. Elway was a second round pick of the Yankees to play outfield. That dude had a hose on an unparalleled level. If you are mentioning arm strength and Elway, CJ belongs nowhere near the discussion.

I didn't say CJ's arm was as strong as Elways...

With all due respect, I can't think of any qb that came close to Elway's arm strength. He literally looked like he was playing with a little nerf ball.

Said it last week, will say it again... 'CJ Farve!' .... just the moxie, taking shots from DE's - then talking to them, scrambling, underhand shovels, 50 yd bombs from his own end zone, incredible toughness tonight, just has 'it' in the 4th Qtr.... let's just enjoy!!

Yes he is a gunslinger.. I said Elway because Farve wasn't really a runner.. he could scramble around lot though.

I can see the resemblance. We haven't seen enough of CJ to do a full comparison but let's hope we can make one at the end of season after seeing a lot more game winning play from our what, 4 game starter? Put up the stats after Elway's first 4 and I'm betting CJ's numbers compare favorably to Elway's.

CJ prolly needs XXXXL pants, cuz he's quite obviously got a pair the size...

Let's just say Linus would think The Great Pumpkin showed up

In other words, HUGE

Tough as nails, and if it was allowed, he'd prolly been rockin' a no-filter Pall Mall from the corner of his mouth on that last drive

really? ever watch Jeff George in his prime? how about Brett Favre?

guessing you are fairly new to this sport ...

First, I'll have to admit I'm no fan of Elway. Bleep him.

CJ does have a quicker release than Elway and perhaps the quickest release of
ANY Quarterback that ever played for the Hawkeyes.

CJ's arm is plenty strong, in any comparison you care to make

Um, no. Neither of those two come close to Elway's arm strength. Try watching some of Elway's college games to compare. John Elway was a freak.

ELWAY CROSS:
A cross or plus shaped bruise inflicted when the nose of a football contacts the flesh at velocities Elway routinely attained.
