Chris Petersen steps down at UWash to recharge

Wow, Never thought this would happen but the position already filled by his 42 year old DC. See a coordinator who has been really good for awhile can be elevated or hired at a big time program.

Petersen is 55 with that great run at Boise and he really rebuilt UWash.

Unfortunately he probably will be too old when KF retires because I liked his exotics and non-conservative approach.

And it is really easy to step down, resign when you make $5 mil a year for 6 years at UWash and all the money at Boise he made. Most of us cant just resign.

Smart move. He put off the Washington job for several years... he resisted. Finally he took it and I think he sees a lot of the same ahead for himself.

I don't know if any high-profile jobs have been filled this season like USC or FSU but I'm sure he'll get a call.
