Cherry on top

I was thinking about how absolutely horrible this collapse has been to watch and then asked myself, "what is the worse way this season could end?" Since everything that could go wrong has, what would the cherry on top be to end this monumental catastrophe? And then it hit me. We will get blasted by Alfraud and his UCLA team by 20 points in a 6-11 matchup. That would be the most miserable finish possible which makes it a lock to happen to this squad.

Whatcha got to say, Iowa?

Holy crap. This could actually happen.

In fact, I'm almost kinda rooting for it... This could also be a golden opportunity to hand Alf another opening round loss to a double digit seed. :D

Pfft, everbody knows that Alfraud can't make it out of the 1st round. That'd be a guaranteed win for us!

Well UCLA aint playing on Tuesday so they will be out of the 1st round.

Are you saying that we'll be playing in the NIT? I don't think this team deserves to be in the NCAA tourney, but I just don't see us not getting in when you take into account our whole body of work. We did all right in the out of conference, and the committee does weight that pretty high.

I think he's just commenting on the new NCAA terminology. The first round being just the play in games now.

at least we'd be in the NCAA.... people are seriously undervaluing the fact that just us being in the NCAA is important for moving this program forward.

Win or not.

The cherry on top will be losing on a last second shot to a team that's only still in the game because they've already banked in 3 3 pointers to beat the shot clock buzzer and hit a half courter to end the half.

Ohhh, yeah. I'm still trying to get used to that. I think it's dumb to refer to it as the "1st round".

Yeah, that's stupid. Nobody actually calls the first game as the second round. If they did I'm pretty sure I wouldn't care to spend time around that person.:D
