Cheering for the Badgers

Getting ready to enjoy a Big Ten basketball game between Michigan State and Wisconsin... but realize I don't like either team very much, but should cheer for the Badgers to help the Hawkeyes get a Top 4 finish. So... Go Badgers!

I only want to see which coach acts like the jilted lover when the refs make a call against him.

I'm rooting more for Ohio State to beat Purdue. Then if Michigan State also beats Purdue all we need to do is beat Indiana and Northwestern to lock up the 4 seed in the BTT.

I'm okay with that. I used to want the 6 or 3, but now would be happy with the 4/5 I want to see Iowa play MSU and Wisconsin. There is actually something to gain in confidence and in terms of seating and not much to lose. Plus I really want to beat those teams.

Yep, got to root for Wisky even though I dislike the way both coaches act during games.

Anyway, Wisky is beyond the hawk's reach while a MSU loss ties sparty with iowa in the loss column. So go badgers.

MSU could lose a few down the stretch and the hawks just need to take care of their own business.

If Wisconsin happens to lose, we could avoid their side of the bracket if they lose at OSU and fall to a 2 seed.

36-25 Wisconsin at halftime, so that doesn't look too likely. What seems more likely is that Iowa will be on Wisconsin's side of the bracket. Same deal if they get the 4 seed.

I'm with another earlier poster that said they wouldn't mind another crack at MSU, and Wisconsin. I'm sick of losing to MSU.. One more wouldn't hurt, but it would be pure bliss to beat MSU and their crybaby coach.

Yea that option looks like it's off the table now. There is still a decent chance at the 3 seed if we win out. We would have our first round game against Purdue if that happens. It would be by far our best chance to make the championship game.

If MSU continues to lose there is a chance Iowa could knock them out of the NCAA Tourney. God, that would be sweet.

MSU B1G record: 10-6.
Remaining Schedule:

vs Purdue.
@ Indiana.

Purdue B1G record: 11-4.
Remaining Schedule:

@ O$U.
@ MSU.

First, we need PU to lose to O$U tonight. Then, we just need to go 2-0. At that point, there is a good chance that either or both MSU and Purdue wind up with 7 losses and we could sneak into a top 4 slot in the B1G.
vs Illanoy.
