That's Haynesworth and 85 for a bunch of late round picks today for NE. The big news here is that Aaron Hernandez already wears #85, so Chad is going to have some bartering to do.

I agree, they are high reward and low risk moves. The Pats dont usually make big splashes like this. Part of me thinks that maybe they are gearing up for one last run. Brady isnt getting any younger and they dont seem to have a replacement for him like the Packers did when they got Rodgers. I think Scott Zolak is looking for work.

Zolak was part of a sports radio talkshow team when I lived in New England. He was pretty funny, but obviously pretty stupid. Guy was total derp on any subject other than football.

Yeah it's not like they drafted a QB this year who was thought to be a top 10 pick at the end of the college season or anything. Also, outside of Brady the Pats are a pretty young team, and as Matt Cassel showed, Belichick's offense can have success with or without Brady.
