No problem. I am not far behind you in age, so I can relate to what you are saying. When the US government when from paper documentation to all computerized input I was not very happy. Hell my high school didn't even have any computers in it.
I will share with you the way I usually share other websites on here. We will use this very location or page we are currently on as an example.
Put your cursor or mouse up on the address bar (in the box that starts with https.) Then right click on your mouse, That should highlight everything in that box. In my case it turns every thing a dark green color. Next go down in that drop down box and left click "Copy" Then go to the page where you want to paste the link. In this case you are already on the page you want to paste the link. Put your curser or mouse in the box where you make comments and right click on your mouse and hit paste on the drop down box and it will show up.
Again I am just copying the address bar and then pasting it to where I want the link to go. So here is an example of what I just did.
This time a pretty detailed analysis about Iowa going forward with paying players, including insights on the future of recruiting. Lots of NFL influence!

Now you just hit post reply after any comments you may have made above or below the link. So just follow this example if you are on a totally different website page like ESPN and see a story you want to share here on HawkeyeNation.
Hawk Central may be a little more challenging because they do allow people to have free access to some stories for a limited time. I am not a member over there but get access to some stories. It's part of their marketing plan. Let you read a few stories to get you interested and then the time will come when they will want you to pay a subscription. I don't do that because I can search the internet and a lot of times get my information somewhere else. ALSO, you make get to read the story for free but the link you copy and paste over here may require others to sign in to get a membership in order to read the story once they click on your link. Sometimes they will also have free access to the link. THEY DON"T CARE if we read stories that they allow free access too. It's part of their marketing plan. NOW IF you have a membership at Hawk Central they might now want you to do that, but if it were my website I would not mind because eventually who ever uses that website will sooner or later be asked to subscribe and pay to be a member of that website.
Interesting enough is that they "Hawk Central" used to have a forum over there a few years before HawkeyeNation existed and it used to be free. It was called Hawk Forum. I don't know why they ended that forum. Maybe because of a few posters that were saying personal attacks against other posters, the coaches, and players. Very personal crap. It's too bad that a few have to ruin it for the majority.
