CFN early 2011 rankings...

Who knows its cfn, its way way to early rankings. Wiscy is what in the top 5 or something? They lose most of their defense and lose Tolzein and Clay and Gillreath and most of the O-Line...I think their credibility is mostly shot.

I remember back in the 2002-2005 era how much I enjoyed reading the CFN stuff.

The last couple of years it's been absolutely terrible. Fuitak has lost his damn mind, not to mention his attention to detail and FACTS.

Not to mention both their O an D coordinators.

Scout.com: 2011 CFN First Look Rankings - No. 26 to 50

They have us at 46th. Definitely lower than Iowa deserved. But what do they know, especially since they list AC and Klug as former offensive linemen...

I love this kind of stuff. It just adds weight to the chip that will be applied to the shoulder of this Iowa team. Offensively, if Vandenberg is the QB we expect him to be, Iowa could be very very dangerous. Honestly, I believe much better than this year than last and will have the ability to outscore teams...if our defense struggles.

There was a typo with the 'offensive line'. "The problem is the massive loss of all the defensive stars including Adrian Clayborn and Karl Klug off the offensive line,..."

How high do you really think we are? Our starting QB is gone. Our defensive front is gone. Our safety is gone. Our career leading WR is gone. We have 1 legit RB on the roster. I think we should be lucky to be included in the top 50 right now.

We go to ISU and we add Pitt to our non-conference schedule. Tenn Tech and ULM should be cake walks but somebody royally messed up putting two 'tough' games back-to-back.

We go to PSU, Minny, Purdue and Nebraska. We have no bye week once conference play starts.

FYI - PSU gets a break following their game against Illinois and just before they play Nebraska. Michigan gets a break in the middle of October following MSU and before Purdue. Nebraska gets a break after the game against OSU and before Minny. MSU gets a break following their game against OSU and before they play Michigan. Do you see a pattern here?

Personally I think it's total **** that we don't get a bye week during conference play and almost (if not all) other Big10 teams get one. Somebody needs to get their head out of their *** in the scheduling department.
