CBS top 25 plus 1

No way we drop that far after losing to a 6-0 rising Michigan team on the road.

As long as we win on Saturday of course..

Meh, that looks about right. You could literally throw every team in a hat, shake it up, play the games at a neutral site and have one hell of a time trying to pick a winner.

With that said, no way we drop out of the top 15.

Losing by single digits, on the road, to one of the hottest teams in the country.. Nah, I can't see Iowa dropping much more than a couple spots. 10 this week, I'm guessing 12-13 next week. That's assuming Iowa beats Northwestern, of course. Lose that game too, and I could see dropping to at least #19.

And Iowa State loses 3 in a row, then beats Kansas St. and moves from #16 to #9 with that win? Doubtful.

Yeah not going to make a big deal of what this guy thinks.

Iowa needs to put away Northwestern on the road. They have taken down some decent teams in the last few weeks. A NW beatdown by Iowa would show people how strong the Hawks are before the rankings come out next week.

I'm sure there's some kind of logic there. Like he's only looking at overall records. I did find that humorous. Love the thought of moving up 7 spots winning 1 of your last 4. Wonder if they're top 5 after they lose to Kansas again last week.

We'll still be in the top 15, for sure. I wouldn't be shocked if we only fall to 12 or 13. Louisville or Cincinnati will definitely jump us (they play this weekend), and OK State probably will, too (they only played WVU this week, so I could see voters keeping them behind us despite the Michigan loss). I don't see us going any lower than 13, honestly. Kentucky beat nobody and UMASS went down.

Iowa will NOT lose to Northwestern, and they will be ranked about #13.

I'm kind of surprised how well Cincinnati has been playing. I don't think they will do much in March.

The combination of the descriptions he wrote defending ISU and ripping Iowa really amused me. If he wants to nitpick RPI numbers, he can see that Iowa is 3-4 against the RPI top 30 (only one of those 7 was at home) and ISU is 1-2 against the RPI top 30 (only one of those 3 was away from home). "No losses outside of the top 45" alright, well Iowa has no losses outside the top 22.

They rip Iowa for going 1-4 against top 25 (and one), but give a #13 ranking to St. Louis, which has played only 2 Top 25 teams and lost both.

It's a crap shoot.
