If Iowa wanted a 2nd RB in this class why did they back off of Brock and Hall? They swapped the #13 and #26 RB recruits for guys in the 90s, that just doesn't equate. Cyclone fans have to be laughing about that point.

Recruiting services do a pretty good job at ranking every single player in the nation, but you would have to be a pretty shitty judge of talent to not be able to rank the few guys you want better than the recruiting services ranked them.

Things change in recruiting all the time. Best guess is we will see a RB leave or change position.

We backed off Hall and Brock once we were solid with Goodson. Brock had plenty of chances to commit to Iowa and never did, so he lost his spot, and at the time we were only gonna take one. Obviously a roster spot has opened up.

It's a good thing we pulled Brock's offer.

At the time that Brock and Hall were committing, Iowa was set on taking one back (Goodson). Since then, Kyshaun Bryan has left from that position and others have transferred from other positions, opening up scholarships. That open things up for taking another running back. Iowa also learned in that time that IKM could be injury prone.

I have not heard of any current scholarship running backs considering leaving. I think it's more about having more room and running back being a position that can be added to as a result. Recruiting is very fluid. Iowa is now looking to take another tight end with Fant going and Hockenson possibly going. That's changed since the beginning of the season.
