Cartwright and Basabe are going to have very sore backs tomorrow

Basabe played great but Bryce Cartwright is just tough as nails and fearless. No one really played all that well today offensively but these two sure stepped up. This team could have easily folded behind 10 with 8 minutes or so left and the crowd going nuts, but they kept fighting. Awesome road W in a very hostile environment. Oh, and Indiana has a few punks on their team. Way to come back and stick in their face. Basabe may have gotten posterized(should have taken the charge) but he got the last laugh. Scoreboard beotches!!!

People are questioning his recruiting ability, however, by far & away, the two best players on this team are his only two recruits.

Basabe & Cartwright are huge upgrades over Brust & Larson. Iowa may be in last place, but think how bad they would be with Brust at point guard.

I'm thinking the same thing now.. That seems to bode well for our recruiting going forward. Basabe is going to be a force (he's already pretty darn good) and there are very few players I would trade Cartwright for at this point.

Both of these players have improved in leaps and bounds since a couple months ago..
