Carson May Discusses Iowa Football Offer

I'm with KOK on this dude: after watching his film, there's just something about this kid. Maybe it's the way he looks off defenders -- something Iowa's QBs rarely do. Maybe it's because he settles in the pocket and doesn't have jittery feet. Maybe it's his arm strength, which isn't the strongest, but a motion that looks curiously Stanzi-like. Maybe it's the pocket presence to know when to move and be able to throw while on the run, ala Beathard. Come to Iowa City and light it up, Carson!

Ole KOK and KF certainly have a type they like don't they? Gotta be 6'4 or taller and 220 or larger. I'm half surprised they offered and took Padilla. They just seem so reluctant to go with a more athletic style of qb. Which sort of surpirses me since the most success we've had were under guys like Banks, Tate and Beathard. None of which were Michael Vick by any means but they weren't statues like Stanley and Petras either. That extra mobility element to me should be a must have if you can get it from the QB position.

This kid has some legit rushing stats it looks like. I'm not familiar with the level of play he's at out there but his willing and ableness to run I like. So we'll see how the rest of the class plays out

There is some tape on this kid, and while he is not Brad Banks, he is also not Petras/Stanely. He can make things happen with his legs. He is not Brad Banks type, but maybe more in the Beatherd mold. His offers to date are pretty underwhelming, but the article says that more programs are noticing him. Hopefully, KOK found him early and he turns out to be a good one.
