at least those of you that are 'superstitious' wont like it.

Game Six of this year's world series will be played on October 26th...

26 years to the day since Game Six of the 1985 World Series, where STL lost 2-1 on a 'bang-bang' play at first.

Thank you, Don Denkinger.

The worst one-time missed call in a big game ever.

"Walking" Andujor ended up imploding in game 7 and St. Louis ends up getting screwed out of a title.

No doubt about the missed call in 1985. However, there were 2 missed 'calls' last night :), but those involved the bullpen. Wow. What a game and I don't think I have ever seen the reaction after a game to the managing of a game (by both managers, but especially LaRussa) ever.

Yes, a bad call indeed. But how about Jack Clark dropping a pop foul and the passed ball mistakes by the Cards. The runner called safe at 1st on the blown play didn't even score. CARDS CHOKED!

I hope not. He didn't pitch well on short rest last series. I would like to see Lohse start and have him on a short hook. Then Carp can come in.
You sure about Lohse? From the linked article before game 3 (where Lohse pitched 3 innings and gave up 3 ER and 2 HRs).

Going 0-4 with a 5.09 ERA over his first eight postseason appearances dating back to 2002, Lohse now boasts the second-most career regular-season starts (298) of any active pitcher without a playoff victory.
