Most underrated player in the B1G and on HawkeyeNation. This kid is probably the 2nd best back in the B10 behind Elliot and has been productive every week in some way. We would not be 5-0 without his production.

Further proof that Kurt doesn't play the best players! Just kidding!

I started a thread about Jordan, after the Pitt game.

His TOUGHNESS and LEADERSHIP skills are a major reason the Hawkeyes are 5-0

Dudes been productive as long as he's been healthy. Unfortunately this has been the only year he's actually been healthy.

He will have a really good run one play and the next one he will look terrible. He had a few runs that had me scratching my head. His good ones far outweigh his bad ones though and he's fun as hell to watch and easy to root for. Just needs to be a tad bit more consistent is all.

We finally get to see the real Jordan Canzeri this year. Great to see him get his shot after battling with injuries. Great back, terrific young man.

That being said. Kirk better stop running him 20+ times a game, or he won't make it to November. Get some relief backs in to give him a break.

Terrible was a bad word to use. There were a few runs that weren't good and it looked like he could get a lot more out of them than he did. I'm officially changing "terrible" to "bad".

I am on board with everything said in this thread so far....... there does seem to be an issue with fumbling.

There is no way we win that game without JC's running. But we overcame his fumble (in that situation it actually helped us a couple yards). We also overcame Beathard's fumble. You can overcome a turnover here and there but you can't overcome not making any plays. We proved that at runningback and quarterback last year. For that reason it might be worth giving Wadley another shot. Who knows, maybe he won't fumble, maybe we would recover his fumble, or maybe he makes enough big plays to overcome a fumble.

So unless every touch is gold he wont measure up? Kinda demanding aren't you.

He's not talked about him because AIRBHG reads this forum. We were just trying to keep him safe. Hope you didn't ruin it by letting "him" find out about Canzeri.

Mr. BHG, if you're reading this right now, the OP doesn't know what he's talking about. If you take away Jordan, we'll be a top 5 team for sure.

IIRC we almost missed out on JC. A sleeper with no major offers. His high school coach sent Iowa a highlight CD that sat on someone's desk for a while until KOK took it into Kurt and essentially said "Youve got to take a look at this kid."
