Can't Wait for Basketball to Start

It is about 30 days until the first game that counts.

This is going to be a deep, unselfish, experienced team with lots of weapons.

I'm counting on an NCAA bid come selection Sunday.

How true. The good news is we go about 11 or 12 deep, but injuries would still be hard to overcome.

I'm not so sure I agree with these statements. We go 11 deep. Depending on the injury, we can weather one or two injuries. If it becomes a rash .. well .. then we're in trouble.

Injuries to any key player will have an impact, so let's hope fortune smiles on us this year. If all goes as planned on that front, I expect a lot of excitement on this board come Selection Sunday 2014. This should be a good team.

The Big Ten is always a tough conference though, and Iowa will have to be ready to play with a target on its back this year. Gone are the days of sneaking up on people. I think that's the only thing that really concerns me.
