Can’t stop Jok

The fact he's gotten his body stronger should scare the crap out of the rest of the league.. Athletic shooters are so huge to have on a team. If he can put the ball on the floor and score at the rim and go to the free throw line he'll be just that much more effective.
 
Sounds good. Always love hearing that our players are working hard in the off-season. Hopefully they ALL are!
 
Iowa has a lot of guys that are pretty good shooters, but what is different about Jok is his mental aspect to it all. He already has proven he is a great shooter and has done it in the bright lights.

He is a confident young man that's for sure.
 
I hope JO and JOK shoot well because that will tire other teams down soo much. Chasing shooters is the worst. Having 2 on one team will be difficult to contain.

Confident, yes. Wise, not yet. He seems like he wants to take over games when he comes in. Maybe that is the game plan, but I think he takes too much on himself when he comes into the game. This is not his team and I don't think he is ready to be a clutch player yet.
 
Thanks for the link. I really wanted Jok to get more minutes last season but at times he just seemed lost and very undersized on defense. I'm hoping he gets a lot of minutes this year as he seems like a special player.

Part of that might have been the limited minutes he got last year. May of felt like he had to light it up to show the coaches he should play more. He'll have a more prominent role next year and will get plenty of minutes...hopefully that lets him allow the game to come to him more.

I think a lot of that last year was him getting limited looks and trying to do too much..then again, he must have had the green light...Fran seems like that kind of coach. Iowa will need another scorer this year from the wing.
 
Jok deserved to get arrested. You can't blame the police for doing their jobs. Its hard to believe that the other players and coaches aren't disappointed with the season approaching in a few months. There are probably a couple of assistant coaches that might feel if Iowa has a good season their careers might blossom.
