Can Zach Johnson do it again?

I would love to see Zach defend his title. But wow there are lot of guys making birdies. I am only 3 hours from this course and I need to go play it and watch this tourney one time.

Zach needs to get keep dropping the putts.

Anybody have any thoughts on Zach or have any stories about playing any TPC courses?

only has one top ten this year, and that was just recently. would love to see him pull this off. man, there are some great scores in already today.

Yeah if the wind stays down there could be alot of 64s and below. Zach has seemed to have trouble on the either Saturday or Sunday this year. It has to be damn hard to win one of these events.

I am not a golf guy, do they still play this at Coal Valley? As long as I can remember it has always been a place where the pros shot a low number. My dad was there in '96 when Tiger finished 2nd it kinda sucked because the following week Tiger got his first tour win at the Greater Milwaukee open. It would have been cool if the Hardee's golf classic, Quad Cities Open, the John Deere classic or whatever it is was called then had been an answer to a trivia question.

They play it on the TPC Deer(e) Run. A long time ago this event was played as a secondary tour stop maybe the same week as the British Open. It was hardly ever on TV way back but it has been great to have Deere and CBS keeping the event alive.

Looks like Speith and Zach heading to a playoff.

edit: Hearn joining the playoff as well.

Yeah Zach had a chance to make a couple more birdies but really Summerhays lost this thing and almost got it back. Pros dont make 4 straight bogeys very often.

Go zach but I also like first time winners. This Speith has some game and you wonder how good will he be in 5-10 years if he can keep improving

Tiger actually got first pro win in Vegas, his 5th pro event. His first tournament played as a pro was in Milwaukee. For the longest time, the QC open was the only 3rd round lead he had blown.

On to the 3rd playoff hole!
