I saw Brian Ferentz tweet that he had to take a test like this again so I thought I'd google it to see what the questions were like. First link I got was to this practice test.

Took me about 10 minutes to run through it quick.

First time through I got 73%. Not bad for guessing the date ranges they refer to. Can't say I'm signing up to start recruiting anytime soon though.

I got a 60%. Does this mean I can go work for Ohio State??

76.67% I'm pretty surprised I scored that high since I was guessing on half the questions.

Apparently I'm Satan. Move over Urban, who's OSU's next coach? This guy! :)

You don't need to know my score. But I'm going to have more empathy from now on for coaches tripped up by technical recruiting violations.

I took the test thinking that I got maybe 15 or 20%. I went through it in 12 minutes and I really wasn't sure about more than a few of them.

Of course I failed, but I got 60%,which is just crazy with my lack of knowledge on the subject. I can't imagine too many recruiters fail this test for real if they study the rules at all. If they do, they're in the wrong profession.

I would rather see the test questions, the typical Big Ten athlete has to answer, compared to the SEC athlete! Also what courses the Big Ten athlete has to attend compared to a SEC athlete. Is there any website that highlights the difference?

No doubt... I wasted a few more minutes than you, but still got 18 of 30 not knowing a thing about athletic recruiting. Wouldn't take much for most coaches to know those rules I'm sure. tests like that are fun to take for the heck of it though. Here's one for someone to take a stab at...yet they don't really give you a true score unless you pay.

Ok, I'll try. Half ripped, lets see how I do.

56.6. Let us try again, when sober. I have taken a few of these at the HS level and have done well. So I will try again. If my mark comes much off of 80 then we need to start educating HS coaches.

24/30 80%
I thought I guessed a lot. Whenever offered a "all of the above" option or "both a and b" I took it.
i can see how a minor recruiting violation could easily occur.
