Can we get a positive update on bowl practice?

How are we looking? Any new faces steping up and showing promise for the future? Or is it all bad these days...
 
Word on younger players and how they practiced usually starts getting out around Feb or in March at Kirk's pre-Spring presser
 
1. Keenan Davis has had some great practices and it's been said that he's been taking a real leadership role on that offense knowing he'll be the guy next year.

2. James Vandenberg has found his accuracy and only had two balls hit the ground since bowl practices began.

3. The defense has been blitzing 80% of the time.

4. Mike Stoops has been seen around the team giving motivational speeches.

5. DJK reconciled with Coach Ferentz and is coming onto the staff next season as a second WR coach.

6. Tim Dwight is coming on to assist with the special teams coaching.

7. Canzeri has looked lightening fast and shifty while grabbing hold of the #1 RB spot, not just for the bowl game, but for next season as well.

8. Coach Ferentz is going to wear a different type of pants besides his pleated khakis that he's worn for every Iowa game.

9. Coach Ferentz has also realized that he doesn't have to write on his little note pad the entire game because one of his assistant coaches informed him that the games are taped and he can actually just go back and watch the film.

None of this is true of course, but you didn't say it had to be truthful positive news. Go Hawks!

My guess is that he writes down what time was on the clock, so when he does watch film, he can go straight to that particular play.

It's wild stuff, I know.
 
On a positive note, Alvis is working out in shorts. I would like to think that's an indication he's progressing nicely in his rehab.
