Can they turn down an NIT bid

If they dont get into the tournament (and they should not) playing in the NIT will be very hard. I cant imagine more than a couple hundred fans showing up for an NIT game.

If it is a National INVITATIONAL Tournament, turning it down should be an option. I don't think we will have to find out, however.

the NIT generally waits until the NCAA tournament has made its selections.

So, I don't think we'll get an NIT invite this year (even though they be hoping to be able to invite us).
