Can the reply bug be fixed?

When we post a reply, I wish we would be taken back to the topic page instead of staying within the thread. It is irritating to have to click on the appropriate forum in the forum list after every reply (or new posting), or at the top of the page.

I'm of the same opinion about uploading an avatar image; for some reason I seem to be locked out of that option. Anyone else having that problem?
