Can Daniels redshirt this year?

Kurt thought about it. Sounds like he played his way out of the possible redhirt this fall. No offense to Weisman or Bullock, but I am confident he is a better overall option.

Since Cox can't perform this year, I believe the Football Gods are telling us something. Mark Weisman needs to go back to his original position and leave the TB duties to Canzeri and Daniels...maybe spot duty for Mark at TB. I think that is the way it ends up. Based on the growth that Daniels has been said to have made...230 with speed sounds pretty good to me.

He did? Did he say that in one of his press conferences or what?

I've been watching some games from last year to clear up my dvr and I noticed a couple things. Weisman is a beast when he is healthy. He might be one of the best short yardage backs in the country. Hopefully most of his carries come in short yardage and goal line situations.

The other thing is how well Rudock ran the ball early in the year. Hopefully he is fully recovered from his knee injuries because he was noticeably more mobile early in the compared to late.

Lmao didn't KF burn his redshirt last year for 20 carries? KF is about the dumbest coach when it comes to redshirts.

Not as dumb as you sound right now. In the future I would advise against calling someone out on subjects you clearly posess little comprehension of.

36 attempts and less than 150 yards. Most of attempts came in garbage time. So what about that was a smart move? He does it many times. Burning redshirts so a player can get in playing time in garbage time.

With Bullock and Weisman battling injuries in the middle of the season...i didn't think it was a bad idea...maybe you know more. Now, I would venture to say if Canzeri didn't do what he did when he got the chance, KF would have inserted Daniels. Daniels also played on special teams, so I don't think it was just 36 carries for 150. We needed good athletes on special teams also.

If he gets less than 100 carries total in two years, will it be worth it wasting the two years?

Exactly right in regards to Weisman. I think many forget how good he is when healthy.

I hope his carries are limited in these first couple weeks in hopes he's not already dinged up by conference play.

For evidence, go back and watch him against Nebby when he came back healthy and was running through Husker defenders in his way to the end zone.

It didn't burn his redshirt. He could still redshirt.

Remember Canzeri played as a freshman then redshirted his sophomore yeat. You get 5 years to play 4. It doesn't matyer when you use it.
