Cameron Smith to ASU

Don't worry, we'll flip either the Tulsa commit or the Colorado State guy. Then we'll offer the other kid from Texas that's choosing between Stephen F. Austin and Lamar. It's all good, brah.

how many 'ships left? can't be more than a few open spots.

also, feel free to talk trash about a lot of things, but one thing this staff is actually good at is finding a last second kid who can come in and contribute.

Probably 3, but I could see it going as high as 5.

The general consensus at this point is 3-4. Two WRs and an LB for sure. Then possibly Veii (not looking good at this point) or some other random last second kid nobody's ever heard of before. Hopefully white and from Nowheresville, Iowa. Hadachek and Jewell are the most likely to get a call the morning of signing day and go from Missouri Valley all-conference candidates at UNI to multi-year starter for the Hoks.

are you really this bitter? i mean, i'm cynical and all...

I don't think Cameron Smith is the difference between 5-7 and 9-3 next year. Did people expect going 4-8 was going to help. The real bad thing is that we need receivers and the product on the field was pretty damn scary in that regard. I mean, I can take 4-8 a whole lot more if we are scoring points and moving the football, but just not getting it done enough to win games. The problem was, our offense after Scherff and Donnal went down, was one of the worst things I've seen in the last 30 years of Iowa football. There are positives though if everyone comes back healthy...our OL will be solid, our TE's will be big and experienced, and JVB graduated.

Hayden always said you can't worry about the ones that aren't here. Because if you do you aren't worrying enough about the ones that are here and that is what will cost you your job.
