Caleb Shudak Ready for His Turn

This kid has a super strong leg as you can see from his kickoffs. He's probably slightly less accurate than Duncan but he has more range. I hope we don't need him much because we're scoring touchdowns but I'll be cheering for him to have a great year.

I have fond memories of reading posts begging KF to fire our special teams coach. Ever since his appointment, we have been kick ass successful. Yeah, I know. We had a legacy punter as an outlier. Shit happens. This same coach has proven his value as a recruiter.

Now we have one of the best punters since Roby. I actually get excited when he comes on to punt!

There were many calls for Levar's head after a couple of special teams brainfarts during 2018 Wisconsin. Meanwhile, here are Iowa's finishes in Special Teams Efficiency Rankings from several years before he took over through last year:

2013: 62nd
2014: 77th
2015: 98th
2016 (Woods takes over ST duties from Chris White): 7th
2017: 16th
2018: 16th
2019: 1st
2020: 10th

The job he has done has been right up there with Parker.

Based on that I'd have to say that it's pretty hard to argue that Woods hasn't been successful. Thanks for adding this!
