Legends and Leaders? PSU should've got the death penalty for the worst scandal in the history of sports, OSU on probabtion and hired another equally slimey $EC caliber coach, Rutgers' men's basketball coach abusing players and using offensive slurs, and Maryland getting a secret travel stipend. Is there anything I'm missing?
Great guy, by all accounts. Well, unless you are a ref. Also runs a clean program and graduates his athletes. You forgot this raving lunatic.

Any proof of the roids our are you just jelly? I didn't think so. And as far as a team having their share of lawbreakers, Iowa doesn't have much room to talk. They just don't have the hardware. When Tom Osborne was winning national titles with a team full of roided up thugs, I'm sure you cheered your *** off for them.
I'll grant you that he gets pizzed on the field, but he isn't any worse than Muschamp, Saban, Kelly, etc.I would put my money on him being the most likely candidate to be the next coach to melt down and assault a player. He might be a great guy off the field, but he sure looks deranged on it.

You may want to go and actually read that article. I'll give you the chance to do that, and once you do, I will allow you to detract that statement and warmly accept your apology. You can't say that all in one post, doesn't give me time to respond.
Steroid Use at Nebraska Acknowledged : Former Cornhusker Bill Lewis Says Some Players Took Drug - Los Angeles Times

If you chose not to, I will obliterate your weaksauce.

Because you are wrong. Go back and read it story. First, this is heresay, a statement from one guy, which would never stand up in the court of law. Second,Lewis played from 82-86, (when drug testing was a far cry from what it is today, fwiw). Third, the era of racking up National Championships is from 93-97. 3 Fails.LOL why would I apologize for being right?
"Sure, I knew some guys were using steroids," said Bill Lewis, the Raider center who played at Nebraska in 1982-86.
"It's fairly obvious that a guy is using steroids, once you've been around. But I don't think it was any different from anywhere else. Steroids are a part of the game of football, whether anyone wants to admit it or not."
Again, either you need to actually read the article (which I hope to be the truth) or you really have no clue as to what the article says (which I suspect to be the truth). Why is Nebraska getting this rap?
"If you have a program that is successful consistently, it's almost a matter of jealousy," Lewis said. "People want to make excuses for why they don't do as well.
"That isn't why Nebraska is consistent, year in, year out. The reason Nebraska is consistent is the way they practice. They get so many reps (repetitions), it's like they've had an extra day and a half of practice."

Apparently you missed these simple statements:

Look, even though you have not given any proof, you would be fool to think that this stuff didn't happen way back then. It happened at Nebraska, it happened at Iowa, it happened at Miami, it happened everywhere to some degree. Hell, it still happens today, and it can happen at any school, at any level. It even happens in the pros. If you don't think so that you really are pretty clueless.
Apology accepted.
Again, please provide proof that one player from those National Championship teams used steriods. If you can, I will apologize for being ignorant for not knowing that information. If you cannot, I will again accept your apology. So now you're admitting they used steroids, but it's ok because other programs do too? Glad we agree on the fact that Nebraska players used steroids now.

I must ask, are you really that ignorant or a jealous troll? Have you not been paying attention to elite athletes in the past 30+ years? Athletes in almost all sports, football, baseball, cycling, track and field, swimming, many olympic sports....the list goes on and on, have been dabbling with PEDs. If you think that not one athlete (likely many) in Iowa's program hasn't done the same you are a fool, just like I would be a fool to think the same of any program. It doesn't make it right, its the unfortunate culture of top tier athletes.
Again, I was not wrong. I simply asked to provide proof that one player from those teams is a verified steriod used. Heck, I'll even expand that to any illegal PED. Until then, you will continue to be talking out of your backside. And you objected to my statement that those Nebraska teams were full of roided up thugs, so where was I wrong in that? I never said they were the only teams doing it. You seem to realize you are wrong here, but just can't come out and admit it for some reason.
I have no idea who this "Christian Peters" person is, but there is not doubt that those teams had a few players that ran afoul of the law. A couple committed some pretty dispicable acts, but so have your beloved Hawkeyes. It doesn't make it right, but those in glass houses shouldn't be casting stones. If you need to dig up the bones of Spiderman Phillips, which have been dead for almost 18 years, your argument gets weaker. What's next, do you want to go back 40+ years and dive into the Johnny Rodgers stituation? If you want me to provide proof that they are thugs I'm sure I can pull up some good ancedotes from Lawrence Phillips or Christian Peters.
