Somewhat related question, are we ever going to play Illinois again? Last time we played them was 08' I think, and the future schedules on the Iowa website go through 2014 and they aren't on those schedules.

Actually, how to they figure out the interdivisional games aside from the "rivalry game"? There doesn't seem to any kind of pattern to it.

Funny thing is, whenever they do a poll of who a team's biggest rival is, the top vote getter from Illinois fans is...Iowa.

In 2006 a 6-6 Iowa team played a 9-3 Texas team in the Alamo Bowl. The Alamo Bowl is a better bowl; with a bigger payout, than most 6-6 teams play in.
