Bushel Measure

Since everyone thought the old fashioned corn sickel was a little too "red", how about an old fashioned Bushell Measure? It is good size, you can engrave the winning team and year on it, it is tied to the agriculture industry and its history, and it is simple. A lot of the other stuff is too busy. Some of the best rivalry games are played for simple items like an ax, a bucket etc.

If you google bushel measure and go to wikipedia there is a picture of what is maybe a bronzed version. Would be pretty cool. I'd rather play for something like that. Then every game fill it up with corn and a football in it that the captains can sign or mvp or whatever.

It should all be bronze.

I like the bushel idea. I wish they would call the game "Farmageddon" rather than the "heros" game is what i think people are dubbing it.

Btw, whoever doesn't understand how much corn is a big deal in Iowa, check this out. (Illinois is up there too)

If it's Iowa corn, shouldn't it be a gas tank?

Just kidding. Bronze Bushel measure with the winning team (Iowa) and score etched into the side each year.
