During the day I listen to buffalo radio on I heart, because I'm a bills fan.

I think I have heard Fran's name mentioned more on their stations then I have on local radio.
They mention his name for every opening on the east coast. On the John Feinstein show he just spouted off that there is no way Fran can be happy at Iowa when he could be coaching at Siena an going to thencaa instead of the NIT. Stating that B1G is not has good as the east coast conferences. They were also trying to say that the D2&D3 schools have better shooting because in their games they score more then D1 games.

I'm just bringing it up because clearly this radio guy live in a bubble. It reminds me no matter the crazy opinion sports fans in Iowa are pretty well informed. We drink the koolaid every now and then but for the most part we pay attention to whats happening around the nation in sports.
 




How can you listen to Feinstein on radio. He is awful on radio.. I've enjoyed some of his books and don't mind him with quick hitters on TV and radio but a full dose will put a person to sleep.

This is the first time I have caught his show and it has been painful. Really miss informed and slanted information. I most likely will stick with spotify for this show time from now on.

They have a pretty good local show at noon which starts at 11 our time.

Since his Knight book (almost 20 years ago?), Feinstein has been pretty much irrelevant. Clueless guy.

Yeah they are talking him up on the Rich Gaenzler show they are going to have him on at the 2:00 hour so 1 CT. I think they are realistic in the fact if he catches fire Buffalo is just a stepping stone. I mean let’s face it there’s not much more of a pedigree you could have as a coach his dad and playing for K.
 


He might be right in saying D2 and D3 shooting is better than D1. D1 is full of athletes and scorers. D2 and 3 are full of undersized, maybe slower guys that learned early on that if you wanted to see the floor you better be able to knockdown shots really well from 15-22 ft.

Or it could be the fact that the defense in D2 or D3 is much, much worse than the D1 level.
