Bucks/Hawkeyes

Although it isn't a "pure" comparison I see similarities between the Milwaukee Bucks and the 2017 Iowa Hawkeyes

Iowa doesn't have a Greek Freak, but these characteristics seem quite similar...

Iowa could have an athletic true center who can score.

Iowa has youth and length to cover the passing lanes.

Iowa can play good post defense with multiple players to plug and play.

Iowa can play uptempo with multiple long range shooters.

Iowa as with the Bucks can be an "uncomfortable" team to play.

I recently read an ESPN article about the Bucks managements concerted effort to draft length. Fran as we know has a tendency of recruiting length since he’s been at Iowa.

After that though the comparison falls a little short as the Bucks, with all their length, have struggled with 3pt shooting.

I prefer my Warriors comparison from earlier in the year as they have also built a team around length, along with shooters. Plus at Iowa’s media day Fran said Jbo was every bit as good if not better than Steph Curry. ;)

I think Iowa and the Bucks are more similar on the defensive end...agree...

I like JB but he is somewhat of an enigma at PG as is Brogdon for the Bucks...talented for sure...but kind of a misfit for a pure PG...given his size...

If Iowa can be an enigma as a team and difficult to match up with...that will be an advantage...tall guys knocking down outside shots really opens up the court for everyone...
