BTT Seeding Tiebreaker

Curious. Should Ohio State, Purdue, and Iowa all finish @ 12-6 in conference play, who earns the 4 seed among them??

B. Multiple team tie:
1. Results of head-to-head competition during the regular-season. a. When comparing records against the tied teams, the team with the higher winning percentage shall prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e., 2-0 is better than 3-1, but 2-0 is not better than 1-0).
b. After the top team among the tied teams is determined, the second team is ranked by its record among the original tied teams, not the head-to-head record vs. the remaining team(s).

2. If the remaining teams are still tied, then each tied team's record shall be compared to the team occupying the highest position in the final regular-season standings, continuing down through the standings until one team gains an advantage.a. When arriving at another pair of tied teams while comparing records, use each team's record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to their own tie-breaking procedures), rather than the performance against the individual tied teams.
b. When comparing records against a single team or group of teams, the higher winning percentage shall prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e., 2-0 is better than 3-1, but 2-0 is not better than 1-0).
3. Won-loss percentage of Division I opponents.
4. Coin toss conducted by Commissioner or designee.

It looks like, if PU loses tomorrow, they'll be 2-1, Iowa will be 2-1, and OSU will be 1-2. I would guess PU gets the better seed.

Pt2 = whichever tied teams have best record vs highest team then next.

Iowa win over Mary...does purdue have win over wisky or mary? Dunno off top of my head.

Purdue played Wisconsin and Maryland once each, losing both contests. If Ohio State wins out and Purdue wins every game other than @OSU, then we could find ourselves in this three-way tie. Based on part two of the rules listed above, this arrangement initially seems very favorable to us because of our win over Maryland. Unfortunately, Ohio State winning out would mean that they take down Wisconsin in their final game, giving them the tie-breaking win and double bye in the B1G tourney.

When it says "remaining teams" I'm not sure if that means remaining teams if there are 3 or more, since there's a tie-break in place for 2 teams, or if you go from 3+ teams to 2 teams and use those as "remaining teams". There is more to the page I copy and pasted, but still seems vague in certain cases.

MSU 13-5
Iowa 12-6
Purdue 12-6
OSU 12-6

If this is the final B1G standing, Iowa gets a 4 seed:

If MUS, Purdue, OSU and Iowa all finish in a 12-6 four way tie, Iowa moves up to a 3 seed:

I love the schedule that MSU and Purdue have left. I really think there is a good chance we end up the 3 seed if we win out.

We need that damned Purdue game back that we led with 7 seconds left. That would've made things a whole lot simpler. ( Guess I could say the same about any of the losses. )

In this scenario...I kind of like the 4 seed. Geez, beating OSU three times...not impossible, but improbable...considering we hadn't beat them twice since bellbottoms were popular...I don't think three is in the cards.

Agreed, I'd much rather face a possible Purdue/Rutgers or jNW

So what happens if Iowa, OSU and Indiana all tie in the standings? If Iowa loses @IU, there's a pretty fair chance that both Iowa & IU end up at 11-7. Looking at OSU's remaining schedule, 11-7 also looks like a reasonable pick for them as well.

I'm assuming we're talking the 5-7 seeds, just to clarify.
