Penn State got hosed on the offensive pass I interference call then Minnesota got away with physical assault (defensive interference) on the interception.

All that said you have to give Minnesota credit for the win.

Just hate to see the officials decide a game like that. Clearly the Penn State player and the Minny player engaged each other equally. It’s not Penn States fault that the Minny player was too close to the two players who came into contact with each other. Just my two cents.

I expect Wisconsin wii win and if we are going to lose then I would prefer the Minny win because it’s been a looooooooong time since Minnesota had a great year.

Now if we win today then that questionable call and the missed call are going to be very irritating. That would have given Penn State an automatic first down.

And the refs missed the delay of game on the PSU TD play as well. Reffing kind of evened-out in the end in this one, but it sets up a GREAT game in Kinnick next Saturday.

Yep, the play clock did expire. That was just five yards though and the interference call was HUGE!!!

2 gopher INTs prevented PSU TDs. On the first INT there was a PI and defensive holding. On the 2nd, defensive holding.

When Minnesota was backed up inside their own 5 they got a PSU PI when the Gopher WR initiated contact.

For such an important game that was as poorly officiated game as I've seen. Minnesota dealt with it but its hard when refs cost you 14.

Yep I've said it many times. Expect poor officiating in college football. They're not professionals. You can't leave a game in an officials hands. PSU did and they lost.

The second Minny interception in the first half was actually PI on Minny and it totally changed the game as PSU would have had first down at about the Minny 20. instead the interceptor returned it to about the minny 40 and they took it in for a bigger lead.

That PI was the actual defender grabbing and raking the PSU receiver which held him up away from the ball. It was just like the call in iowa isu game in 2015 where neimann ran into the isu receiver on and underthrown ball and mabin picked it. That PI was called correctly
