Brutal stretch to start the big 10 season!

This may have been talked about on here already, but I took a look at the schedule for the Hawks and the first 8 games are absolutely brutal. The Hawks play MSU twice, Purdue twice and Maryland once over that stretch. Realistically could be 3-5 best case to start the conference?
 
If they start 3-5 they'll still be in good shape but this board will be talking about who replaces Fran next season.

If we can get over the MSU hump I think we're 5-3. But I think 4-4 is more realistic. Then comes the rest of the Big 10.

I think we will split the 2 game road trip and go 5-1...now 9-5 overall.

Take 3 out of the last 4 and we finish at 12-6.

MSU - W (we owe them one at some point)
@ PU - L (probably too much to ask for a win at W. Lafayette)

@MSU - L (not winning at Breslin....just hope we can keep it within 30)

PU - W (I think we can get it done at Carver)
@ MU - L (Top 5 team on the road....probably not)

@ILL - W (they are so beat up right now and, frankly, not very good)
@IN - L (we've had good fortune here in the past, but probably not this year)

@PSU - L (for whatever reason, we do not play well there....this will be one of those WTF games we have every year)

@OSU - W (they are BAD this year....which should never happen in Columbus)
IN - W (get it done at Carver)
@UM - L (never any luck at Crysler)

I'm at 12-6 as well....but with a win over MSU in the first game. Will probably be more like 11-7. But 11-7 should still get us to 20-10 before the BTT....split 2 games there and be 21-11. That should, hopefully, be enough for another 7 seed with our non-con SOS.
 
Win or lose, I'm ready for bodyslammin season to start. Lets go Hawks.

12-6 is pretty optimistic. I would venture we drop more than 1 game in the middle stretch and probably 2-2 in these last 4.

With that said even 10-8 and we are dancing for sure!

But I've had 12-6 in my signature since last March. I can't project us at 11-7 now. Seriously, we were pretty good on the road last year and despite the loss we looked pretty good at Hilton. It won't get much more hostile than that. Our starters won't be intimidated anywhere we play IMO.
