Bruce Weber to K State

Here's a tweet from Jacob Pullen:

Bruce Webber didn't think I was good enough to play at Illinois and I don't think he is good enough to coach at Kansas State

Hey K-State. Your coach just ditched you to go to a third rate SEC program that has made the tournament three times in 20 years.

You should bless your lucky stars that good coaches (inexplicably) continue to flock to your little brother program in a dying conference. Unlike the scumbag coaches you've been hiring, however, coach Weber won't run the second a couple extra bucks are offered.

Weber inherited a great situation when Bill Self left Illinois, and turned it into a Sweet 16 and NCAA final game run...since then, Illinois has not made it out of the second round of the tournament (4 instances) had an NIT appearance and missed the post season altogether this year.

Given the talent he has brought to Illinois during his time, that's poor production. I don't think he's going to work out at KSU. They have higher expectations now after the dip they has post Mitch Richmond era...which I think may have been the Lon Kruger era too.

When your last two coaches bolt for West Virginia and South Carolina, I guess the AD wants someone that will win just enough and be loyal at the same time. Weber is an excellent choice in the 11th hour if that's what KState was looking for.

I'd say the big XII is far from a dying conference now.
