This should be one of the more evenly matched Iowa vs. Minny games in awhile and like every year Floyd of Rosedale is on the line. This must be the heaviest trophy in the world at 98 lbs.

Below are some highlights from last year's 23-7 Iowa win. The Hawks held the 'goophs' to 30 yards rushing and dominated the line of scrimmage. Minny is a better team this year but let's hope we can do that again.

Schematically the Gophers and Iowa are so similar, however Jake is a better passer. No players regarding speed on the edge for the Gophers to be concerned about
 
Stop the run and we win big, its that simple. Same thing for the Wisconsin and Nebraska games. None of them have QBs who can be effective if the run game isn't working.

The weather is going to be big in this game.....31 degrees with winds of 21mph out of the NW. When we win the coin toss, I hope that KF goes against his normal plan and defers to take ball in second half...Minny takes ball, and Iowa takes 1st qtr wind....we shut down their running attack, they punt against the wind, and we get off early....very important to play from ahead vs the Gophers.
