Yeah, the problem is more often than not we're that sad little rebel ship. Hearing a coach say things are out of your control isn't a good look IMO regardless of the merit of a comment like that. Next time I completely F up a project at work I'm going to tell my boss "you need to learn that some things are just out of your control."

I've always thought Star Wars was a comedy...way too campy. Now, the latest Star Trek stuff...that's much more realistic for science fiction. You can provide comparisons for Star Trek characters to any management or coaching staff.

Captain Kirk - played remarkably well by Kirk Ferentz. Consistently challenges the Prime Directive (No Turnovers) by actually allowing the team to pass the ball once in awhile. Banishes running backs who fumble to Seti Alpha Seven (barren planet he sent Kaan to).

Scotty - played by Phil Parker. You can just hear Phil Parker in his best Scottish accent telling Captain Kirk Ferentz, "If your not going to play any offense, I can't keep it together much longer Captain."

Mr. Spock - played by Brian Ferentz. He needs some seriously logic to explain why he keeps running the ball into eight man fronts. "If the other teams feel that we feel we cannot run the ball, then how can we call ourselves a physical run first team. It's illogical Captain, we must pound the ball despite the little success, or our identity is a fallacy."
