It is an interesting scenario. As a coach you have contractual, i.e., financial concerns, and also a commitment to your players, but it would suck coaching s a lame duck. As an institution I don't get why you would leak the lame duck status unless you were trying to get the coach to quit. Just pretty much a mess.
