Here is how I break down the top 4 teams for Nationals in relation to EACH OTHER. Obviously there are tons of other factors, teams, etc... but when you figure that 4 teams have a legit shot to win the whole thing it's interesting to look at it this way and it shows you how Iowa has been underperforming compared to how they should be doing.
Keep in mind this is ALL MY OPINION:
Iowa, Minnesota, OkSt, PSU
125:
McDonough - 1; Sanders - 2; Morrison - 3; Megaludis - 4
133:
Ramos - 1; Oliver -2; Dardanes - 3; Martellotti - 4
141:
Marion - 1; Dardanes - 2; Kindig -3; Pearsall - 4
149:
Molinaro - 1; Parks - 2; Ness - 3; Kelly - 4
157:
StJohn - 1; Alton - 2; White - 3; Ortiz - 4
165:
Taylor - 1; Evans - 2; Yohn - 3; Bailey - 4
174:
Ruth - 1; Perry - 2; Lofthouse - 3; Storley - 4
184:
Steinhaus - 1; Wright - 2; McNeil - 3; Wagner - 4
197:
Rosholt - 1; Yohn - 2; McIntosh - 3; Gambrall - 4
HWT:
Gelogaev - 1; Nelson - 2; Telford - 3; Wade - 4
IOWA - 24
OkSt - 24
PSU - 26
Minn - 26
**If Gambrall and Telford were where they SHOULD BE; Gambrall - #3 at 197 and Telford #2 at HWT, then it's:
IOWA - 22
OkSt - 24
PSU - 27
Minn - 27
(and it's even better if you put Gambrall at #1 or #2 at 184)
To me, this is about how it should have played out this year and maybe still will.
Iowa is the most talented team with OkSt behind them and Minn/PSU tied for third.
Hopefully it plays out that way at NCAA time!
*Another good note: PSU loses Molinaro and Wade this year which is huge. OkSt is a very old team and loses Parks, White, Bailey and Gelogaev (maybe more) and Minn loses Sanders and Yohn. We lose Marion.
