I think we can have this conversation without taking it to grounds that will get it banned.
Is there any new news on Brandon. Was he back today? Are there plans for him to be back, etc.???

We know 4 things for sure.

1) He's not with the team for personal reasons.
2) KF says he's welcome back if he decides to come back.
3) When/if he rejoins the team we will know.
4) Nobody said he was back today.

Everything else is rumor at this point. The rumors might be true but they are in fact going to be rumors until someone with the team or his family discuss it publicly.

That is 4
Other than that +1.

I think we need a Wegher status light. When we have new info it will flash. Until then let it go.

In some ways this reminds me of the Khalil Hill suspension about ten years ago. We never really knew what that was about, but there were a ton of theories and rumors going around. It wasn't until after Hill graduated that we knew more of the story.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but what was the story there? I was only like 9 or 10 years old at the time, and didn't REALLY start paying attention to the Hawks until the Minnesota game in 2002. Since that game, I've either been to, watched on TV, or listened to all but one game (Syracuse 2007). Had a date with a girl I really liked (but to my credit, I did try to get my walkman radio to work in the theater, but alas, no reception). So I don't really know what the deal with Hill was.

My wife was working with the football program that year. She was amazed with the fact that the football team kept that reasoning under wraps.

Sorry if this comes across as rude (I don't mean it to be) but if Wegher is back don't you think we would know about it? I know they call it Fort Kinnick for a reason but something like that would get leaked. There isn't really a reason to start yet another thread asking what his status is. We will know if he's back in practice and with the team. Until we hear anything confirming that, he's not a member of the 2010 Hawks as far as I'm concerned. I hope that's the attitude the players are taking as well.

I wish him the best and I respect him for taking his time to make sure he makes the decision that's best for himself and his family. I certainly hope he comes back to the Hawks either this year or next year but if he's not in camp he can't be counted on.

NFL Coach Alerts Iowa Media on Kahlil Hill

A reader sends this: “We finally got the scoop on Kahlil Hill, but it took an NFL coach to alert the Iowa media.’’ Falcons Coach Dan Reeves told reporters in Atlanta that Hill, an Iowa football was suspended in 1999 for using a banned performance-enhancement drug.

Let the kid live his life, man he is going through some issues, its best to live him be. When he is comfortable with his situation and able to handle everything he will be back on Campus. He is a great kid who made a mistake. Hopefully everything gets panned out and he can return to football!
