Now that Raiders tight end Zach Miller signs with Seattle. Myers might move into the starter's spot. The Raiders will be a terrible team this year but atleast another Hawkeye starting in the NFL

LOL I was going to post this yesterday. Brandon doesn't have the stats showing he is an all-star but he has 2 special teams plays that have been the difference in wins for the Raiders in the last 2 years. He will be alright. Only way this changes is if the Raiders sign Kevin Boss or a rookie converted WR named David Ausberry beats him out which if you know the Raiders is because he is having a "Kenny Shedd" like preseason.

Brandon Meyers will be fine.

Between his special teams play, his versatility and his status as a 1a-2 starter... he will play many more years in the NFL.

RIP: Bob Braverman of Friendly Farms on the hill in Iowa City. A great Hawkeye, a better farmer and even greater man.

I know this is taboo on this site, but I liked him better than Moeaki. Kid showed up every day to practice and every Saturday for games. Unfortunately for him his career pretty much overlapped with TM and Chandler.

It's not like Moeaki was lazy. You can't help injuries.

That said, I agree with you. Moeaki was a blast to watch, but I like watching Myers more. Part of that had to do with the fact that I saw him play basketball against my high school a couple times in district finals when I was in junior high, so it was just really cool to see him do well as a Hawk. But he was a terrific chain-mover, always there to make the big catch in the clutch. I couldn't believe it took us all the way until the final two possessions to get him involved in the PSU game in 2008. He was a huge reason we got down the field late in that game.
