"Brain" "Ferrets"

Why do people refer to Brian Ferentz as "brain" and to his dad as Ferrets? It happens too often to be accidental mid-spellings.

I do it on occasion because I have a speech impediment and I speak as I type, so sometimes I type words as I hear myself pronounce them. I will try to keep my dithability from impacting the board.
