I started laughing when I saw this piece on espn.

It's the hair and the way he sounded just made me laugh....Yes, he is a great qb, married to a supermodel, pretty much owns my steelers yet it was funny to me.

I've got no issue with guys crying or being "sensitive" but I guarantee you the dudes in his inner circle, his teammates will/have busted his chops about it.

I guess this puts a new light on Michael Jordan's hall of fame speech. I don't think these guys are capable of letting it go. It's what fueled them to greatness. If Tom Brady is still alive 50 years from now he'll still be ****** about it.

Very good point.

Also, if you were drafted after QBs Giovanni Carmazzi and Spergon Wynn, you might cry as well. :)

I don't know if Brady is going to end up like Jordan. Brady seems more grateful for how things ended up. Jordan was EXTREMELY bitter. I can't imagine how hard that day must have been for Brady. But he doesn't come off as bitter about it.

You are 100% absolutely correct.....I'm in the minority I thought the interview was unintentionally funny, the dramatic pause before he starts crying, the hair, the rolling of the eyes as he gives the "insurance salesmen" bit. I'm not a hater it was just funny to me.

You don't think he's bitter about it? It's years later, with multiple superbowl rings, a supermodel girlfriend, and he can name his own price on his contract yet he STILL complains about that day.

It's no different than Jordan never forgeting that highschool coach who cut him from the team.

I don't think Brady's list of grudges is close to Jordans, but right now I think there's a better than 50% chance the fact that he was picked 199th in the draft will be mentioned in his HOF speech.

I'm sure it will, too. It's practically what defines him. But there's a difference between a mention of it, and turning the entire speech into a big f*ck you like Jordan did.

true. Jordan's bitterness is uncharted territory, but so was his greatness. Maybe there's some sort of bitterness/greatness sliding scale.
