I still think the Hinkel catch against Penn State was out of bounds. But it was a thing of beauty. And the way they carved up Michigan that year IN Ann Arbor...an all-time Iowa football memory!
It was amazing how he transformed the pro style attack, usually a dual threat QB is only considered deadly on the spread but #7 changed that. Dang it Carson Palmer
Man that never gets old. What a special season that was. Banks and Iowa came out of nowhere and just had one magical season. Hated how it ended because they were much better than they went out.
ESPN was pretty much the Hawkeye Television Network that season. Mark May and Bob Davie became as familiar as Dolph and Eddie that season.
