Brad Banks for Heisman

I rewatched the catch on youtube and I saw this next to it. Fun to relive that year a little bit. My favorite all-time Banks play comes at the 3:06 mark.

That was a great team. It was amazing to see how difficult it was to defense Iowa with a mobile QB.

I still wonder how good Iowa could be this year if we moved McNutt to QB!!!
Think about it!!!

I still think the Hinkel catch against Penn State was out of bounds. :) But it was a thing of beauty. And the way they carved up Michigan that year IN Ann Arbor...an all-time Iowa football memory!

It was amazing how he transformed the pro style attack, usually a dual threat QB is only considered deadly on the spread but #7 changed that. Dang it Carson Palmer

Although his pro career hasnt amounted to much. Great college player though, I have a few Minnesota tix signed by him.

Man that never gets old. What a special season that was. Banks and Iowa came out of nowhere and just had one magical season. Hated how it ended because they were much better than they went out.

ESPN was pretty much the Hawkeye Television Network that season. Mark May and Bob Davie became as familiar as Dolph and Eddie that season.

One I will never ever forget. So many superstars.

I had forgotten about that okey doke he put on the MSU kid. It was toward the end of the clip there and was sweet.

Awesome. Didn't get go 10-10 in the UM game or something ridiculous like that?

He went 11-11 I believe on Senior Day against NU. 5 total touchdowns that day in a 62-10 romp.

Banks got robbed of the Heisman. Palmer blows up on Notre Dame on national TV and pretty much clinches the Heisman because of it.
